I think that the makers of Dr who are going to change how Riversong dies because in the library where she sacrificed herself just doesn't seem a fitting end to such a character. I think that when they chose that end for her they didn't realise how far they were going to take her as a character and that most of Matt Smith's career as the doctor has been affected by Riversong. Plus with the mars 'time isn't fixed' storyline that could possibly change.
I do hope she comes back for this series.
